I’ve seriously lost track, I’ve got 15 in mind for some reason? And if we’ve made 15 signings this summer it’ll hardly be surprising given the number of players Paul Sturrock had released from Huish Park!

Mark Beck, whatever signing number he is, has become the latest Yeovil signing with his arrival announced on the Official Website on Friday.

At some 6ft 5in tall Beck could prove the ideal replacement for Kieffer Moore, one of those that was deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ by Sturrock at the end of last season, to give us that added height from a target man up top?

Beck, who had been with Carlisle since coming through their academy, has signed two-year contract with the Glovers.

On his signing Sturrock, who had been watching him ‘from afar’ for sometime, said:

‘I have watched Mark from afar for a while now. He had a successful loan spell at Falkirk last season and managed to force himself into the Scotland Under21 squad.

‘He has great talent, he is a big lad at six foot five. I am hoping with that kind of target man and the pace we have, we now have someone who will give us an out ball should we need it.’

The 21-year old was left in a similar position as our former striker Ajay Leitch-Smith as he was under contract at Brunton Park but not really wanted at his contracted club.

All being well Carlisle’s loss will be very much our gain!
