It doesn’t get any easier for The Glovers in the SkyBet League 1 season with another tough game against Chesterfield to contend with at the Proact Stadium on Saturday.

Positively we’re on a five game winning run against Chesterfield though!

Chesterfield’s captain Ian Evatt serves a suspension after collecting his fifth yellow card on Tuesday so they could be light of defensive options as Sam Hird (knee) is injured too. Drew Talbot’s groin and influential Gary Roberts hamstring keeps both out.

Aaron Martin left this week to join Coventry City but we’ve taken Jordan Clarke on loan in return so the right back should make his Glovers debut. Also departing for a loan spell with Southend United this week was another summer signing Jakob Sokolik.

Sam Hoskins, Sam Foley, Nathan Smith and AJ Leitch-Smith are all pushing for recalls as we seek to add to just our three wins this season.

Jed Steer has come back in for another loan spell from Aston Villa with the goalkeeper set to become the fourth one we’ve used this season! Also coming in today was Fulham defender Stephen Arthurworrey who could also debut.

It’s not desperation stakes at the moment but we’ve got to turn things around and fairly soon or a battle just to avoid relegation, a second successive one, into the SkyBet League 2 becomes very real.
