Yeovil’s drop towards League 2 moved a step closer! We might have avoided a third successive three-nil defeat but a two-nil defeat at Colchester on Tuesday was still a defeat nonetheless!

That setback, another one, at the Weston Homes Community Stadium now means we’ve won just once in our last nine-matches and are now cut four-points adrift at the foot of the League 1 table and some nine-points, and a poorer goal-difference, from safety….

Ugwu and Hayter had chances to put us ahead but Colchester ‘keeper Walker saved from both but when Smith brought down Murphy in the box the hosts had a penalty. Fox (54) stepped up and made sure he gave Colchester the lead.

The disappointed of that setback had barely passed when Murphy (58) himself ran through to double the lead, and confirm the points, just a few minutes later to leave us stranded at the bottom of the league….

Even in defeat, yes another one, we’re looking for your MotM? Select the name you want from the list to you right!
