The Glovers might be out of the FA Cup, following the weekend defeat to Southampton, but we’ve now got two ‘Cup Finals’ coming up with games against Derby County and Nottingham Forest this week, starting at Derby tonight.

Jeff Hendrick had to go off in Derby’s draw with Blackburn in the SkyBet Championship on Saturday and could miss out due to an ankle injury. The highly rated Will Hughes came on for him in that game and is likely to fill in again if Hendrick can’t recover in time.

Derby have had the luxury of leaving the free scoring Patrick Bamford on the bench, but after coming on and scoring twice he could start tonight.

Plenty of positives were taken from the Southampton defeat, a big one is that The Glovers didn’t pick up any fresh injury worries so Gary Johnson doesn’t have to contend with having to shuffle his pack out of necessity.

Sam Hoskins and Liam Davis are still out mind so Jamie McAllister will continue at left back.

A first SkyBet Championship start since his return will come for Ishmael Miller, who will get plenty of abuse from the Derby fans due to his Nottingham Forest connections, and he’ll be linking up with James Hayter up front I’d think.

Johnson’s made it clear how he wants us to prepare for these two games, we’ve got to have the mentality that we did for the Southampton game and if we approach this game in the same way we can get something.

In the corresponding fixture at Huish Park, earlier in the season, in what was the first ever meeting between the two sides Derby won 3-0.

Derby aren’t going through the best run of form at the moment but score goals for fun and are the highest goalscorers in the SkyBet Championship. We won for the first time in seven league games against Birmingham in our last game so that’ll boost confidence.

Two points from the next two games wouldn’t be bad but if we could just sneak another win on the road tonight that would set us up nicely for Forest at the weekend.
