Yeovil’s survival bid will be played out without Simon Gillett, as well as Kevin Dawson, with Gillett joining Dawson in undergoing surgery and therefore missing what’s left of the season.

Gillett suffered a recurrence of his knee problem against Man United and hasn’t played since the Barnsley game, he’ll not play again as he’ll be having surgery – Dawson had an operation on his damaged hip ligaments earlier this week.

Gary Johnson confirmed his absence in the Weston Gazette, he joins others in being sidelined for the season and increasing our injury issues….

He said: ‘Kevin has had an operation and Simon Gillett has one coming up. Those two are out for the season.

‘Jakub Sokolik is already out for the season. Joel Grant and Liam Davis have been out and don’t seem to be progressing, they are big ones. Chris Weale in injured as well. We have been right unlucky with contracted players being injured because we can’t replace every one with a loan.’

Also, even though he’s fit and available, Johnson also confirmed that Adam Morgan isn’t going to come into his thoughts at all even though he’s under contract for a while yet!
