The Glovers looked like being held to a frustrating draw at Huish Park against Fleetwood on Saturday, but a late goal meant that this ended up being even worse as we suffered another defeat.

A goal three minutes from time meant that Fleetwood literally stole the three points as we lost our latest SkyBet League 1 game 1-0.

Fleetwood goalkeeper Chris Maxwell was the difference between us and a half time lead, making a number of including denying Jordy Hiwula, who was looking to follow up his first goal for us that came in our FA Cup win last Saturday, and then Ajay Leitch-Smith.

Glovers goalkeeper Jed Steer was near enough a bystander for large periods.

The moment when we seemed destined to take the lead came in the second half with just ten minutes to play, James Berrett’s curling effort was heading for the top corner but Maxwell saved again.

Fleetwood then won it!

Talk about a ‘smash and grab’ victory or what! With just three minutes to play Jeff Hughes headed home to give Fleetwood an unlikely, and frankly undeserved, win and leave us wondering how this had happened as we dropped to the foot on the SkyBet League 1 table.
