Beating Millwall was something that we needed on Tuesday, a point for The Glovers keeps us in the running to avoid SkyBet Championship relegation but the 1-1 draw keeps Millwall’s six point lead on us in place as we missed the change to come off the foot of the table.

Losing another lead was another disappointment but at least this time we didn’t lose it at the expense of defeat.

Much like the Leeds game on Saturday The Glovers had the better of the first half, but unlike that game we weren’t able to go into that game ahead but it wasn’t for the lack of chances or a bit of misfortune.

Ishmael Miller came close to scoring again but his deflected effort couldn’t find the back of the net, instead it hit the crossbar.

Ahead of the game David Forde wasn’t expected to be fit enough to play but he was and the Millwall goalkeeper thwarted us not once but twice in the first half, firstly making a great save to keep out Joel Grant and then saving Miller’s header.

When The Glovers finally did have the ball in the net this was disallowed though. Shaun Williams was adjudged to have been pulled back in the build up to Miller’s finish past Forde.

Joe Ralls wasn’t denied though soon after.

Ralls was missing from the Leeds defeat, after injury against Nottingham Forest, but marked his return when he volleyed passed Forde from James Hayter’s cross.

Millwall didn’t offer much of a goalscoring threat to The Glovers but denied us a crucial three points when Steve Morison headed home Scott Malone’s cross to leave Marek Stech helpless and make sure the six point cushion they had on us remained in place.

A Millwall win was almost claimed in injury time though after Tom Lawrence had been denied his first Glovers goal but another Forde save.

Can’t help see it as two points dropped and dropping points is the story of the season. Have to hope that changes and quick.

We need this to change quickly don’t we as home games against the likes of Millwall are games we need to win so it’s two points definitely dropped.

Some games are just must wins now and this was one really with their position and form.
