The unsurprising return to SkyBet Championship side Blackburn Rovers of goalkeeper Jake Kean has been confirmed.

His one month loan ended after the Port Vale defeat on Saturday, which wasn’t the way he would have wanted it to end with us beaten 4-1 at Vale Park.

Gary Johnson tried to deflect blame from the goalkeeper but still cast doubt upon Kean, who probably wasn’t much of an improvement on what we already had, extending his spell beyond the five games that he played for us with his thoughts that he could change the entire starting XI for our next SkyBet League 1 fixture after the horror show at Vale Park.

The Glovers are likely to turn to one of the two goalkeepers we have contracted to the club, both of whom have been guilty of some poor mistakes this season, with Johnson possibly using the money saved that would have been spent on Kean’s wages to bring in a player on loan in another area?
