Was Ian Holloway just playing the mind games with his comments about Ed Upson earlier today? He said that he was considering featuring the midfielder against The Glovers at Huish Park tomorrow night.

Gary Johnson is being quoted by many media outlets as saying that he’s ‘pretty sure’ an agreement is strong enough to make sure that the 24 year old doesn’t play a part.

‘I think the two chairmen did that deal. I’m pretty sure that, as with a loan or in this case a sale, when it’s close to playing against that person, it’s probably better for everybody for him not to play in that particular game.

‘They’ll have him for 18 other games out of the 19, so I’m sure they won’t miss him that much but it’s probably the right thing for the two chairmen to do, and say ‘okay, as part of the deal, he can’t play against us.’

I wonder just how Upson is feeling about this all?

Johnson probably didn’t mean anything by it could be views as him taking another little swipe in the latest war of words with Holloway by saying ‘they won’t miss him that much’ as that suggestion is that isn’t that important to them.

We might not even find out until just before kick off tomorrow just what will happen with Upson and a will he won’t he play against us situation.
