Gary Johnson has said he felt Yeovil were unlucky to lose to Birmingham today because we more than matched them, but weren’t clinical enough in front of goal.

Speaking to the press following the game, the gaffer said there were positives, but he knows we have to take our chances better.

‘We looked competitive and as if we could win that game. It was three points lost for us, that’s my honest belief. We didn’t look potent enough for the whole game. We did compete and it was fantastic to see the atmosphere and we more than matched a Birmingham side.’

More disappointing than the result was the fact that it’s been confirmed that Marek Stech has broken two ones in his hand and he will now be out for at least three months.

Johnson also admitted that he would be dipping into the transfer market to get cover with goalie coach Gareth Stewart being our only other keeper.
