Manager Paul Sturrock has now managed to move on all the players who were under contract and deemed surplus to his requirements for the coming 2015-16 campaign as it’s now been confirmed that striker AJ Leitch-Smith has departed for Port Vale.

The 25 year old joined us last summer from Crewe Alexandra on a two year deal, but having made only 24 starts for us last year, with a further 14 from the bench with a total return of only two goals, Sturrock decided to move him on this summer and a deal was struck that sees him leave Huish Park as a free agent.

He has signed a 12 month deal at Vale Park and will join up with old colleague Sam Foley who made the move to them earlier this summer.

Artur Krysiak remained the final one on the transfer list for immediate departure, but he has since been welcomed back into the fold and the squad by the gaffer.

AJ has been training with them since they returned to pre season.
