Yeovil Town have confirmed that they have placed striker Paddy Madden on the transfer list and have circulated his name to other clubs.

The 23 year old was obviously League One’s highest scorer last season but this campaign he has failed to find the net in 11 appearances for the club and there have been the obvious off pitch distractions between him and manager Gary Johnson, so it hasn’t been the best of times really this season so far.

Madden released a statement to the Western Gazette earlier confirming the speculation, saying.

‘It’s with great regret that I can confirm that I have been formally placed on the transfer list. Until such time as a transfer or loan is concluded, I will continue to apply myself with the same level of professionalism that I have shown since I arrived.’

The timing of the move does appear to be linked with trying to shift him quickly in the loan window, with a view to a permanent deal in January

We’ll have to see what happens, and no doubt should a move take place, we will get Paddy’s version of what’s gone on this term.
