Aaron Martin only arrived at Huish Park in the summer but he has left The Glovers to sign for SkyBet League 1 rivals Coventry City.

Coventry had the former Birmingham City man on loan previously and have tried to sign him more than once but similarly to the deal with Danny Seaborne the season before last when we signed him only to swiftly ‘send him to Coventry’ on loan Martin, our top goalscorer, has followed suit.

Reports in The Coventry Telegraph this morning said that this could happen with a player the other coming the other way, Jordan Clarke arriving.

A loan swap deal with Clarke coming in to try and solve our problematic right back area, which has troubled us since Luke Ayling left for Bristol City in the summer, has now been official confirmed.

The players have swapped clubs until January.

Clarke has been in and out of the Coventry side recently but has shown ability with his hometown club so this could make a good deal?
