Eddie Mitchell has been a regular at Huish Park recently but any possibility of him investing in The Glovers appears to have ended.

Mitchell has always claimed that his presence at Huish Park was only ever as an ‘interested spectator’ and he was coming to games as Poole, where he has an interest, weren’t in action but they played at the weekend as well as us.

Reports in The Western Gazette today say that The Glovers have decided against ‘welcoming a potential offer’ from the former Bournemouth chairman with an agreement unable to be reached.

An interest in investing in The Glovers is something that Mitchell has always played down.

It’ll be interesting to see if he, and former Bournemouth managerial team Paul Groves and Shaun Brooks, will be in attendance any longer. You wouldn’t have thought they would be if investment isn’t likely.
