Yeovil Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Sid Nelson in the two nil victory over Coventry City at the weekend at Huish Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Nelson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘After leaking 14 goals in their opening three league games, Darren Way brought in Millwall`s Nelson on loan to try and stem the tide. His plan worked, with the Lions’ loanee going off to a standing ovation after helping Yeovil to a win and a clean sheet against Coventry City.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Nelson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Fryer (Stevenage), Charlie Mulgrew (Blackburn Rovers), Shaun Hutchinson (Millwall), Sid Nelson (Yeovil Town), Kyel Reid (Colchester United), Kamil Grosicki (Hull City), Alex Woodyard (Lincoln City), Kalvin Phillips (Leeds United), Gwion Edwards (Peterborough United), Frank Nouble (Newport County), Tom Eaves (Gillingham).
