Palazuelos To Arrive In Time For Watford

Ruben Palazuelos should be a Glovers player in time for the SkyBet Championship game with Watford.

Gary Johnson has told The Western Gazette that as soon as international clearance is given for the Spanish midfielder he’ll be signed and then as soon as a friendly can be arranged he’ll give him a run out to assess how he’s going fitness wise in a game.

The 30 year old has been training with us for a week or so and as soon as he can come in Johnson will bring him in as he feels he can offer us something that we’re currently missing.

‘He’s a midfielder that can pick out a pass, that’s his game. When he was at Hearts he had 100-odd games there as a bit of a controller in the middle there.

‘I feel we need that one who’s going to feed the forwards with the right ball at the right time. We have got a lot of endeavour but not that spotter and I’m hoping he’ll do that.’

Palazuelos, from the sounds of what Johnson is saying, is a player that he wants to get into our side as quickly a possible but not before he can arrange a friendly for him to get a game under his belt.
