Manager Gary Johnson’s options look like they may soon be growing with news that 20 year old Nathan Ralph is set to resume training following a 10 month long injury.

The young left back has been sidelined with a knee injury and last appeared for the club back on February 12th in our game against Preston North End, a match he also scored in before sustaining the injury.

Speaking at today’s press conference, Johnson told the Official Site that Ralph has now been given the all clear by specialists to resume normal training and he knows it’s good news for both the player and the club that he will now near a return to action.

‘I have kept him here because I know what a worker he is and he has come through it, so that is good. At the moment he is fit to start training normally which is great news.’

Despite being out for so long, Johnson added that his natural level of fitness at this stage was very good indeed and it hadn’t gone unnoticed so maybe he’ll be closer to a return than you’d have otherwise thought.

In other injury news ahead of this weekends game, the gaffer also confirmed that goalkeeper Chris Dunn remains a doubt as he continues his recovery from a thigh injury that dogged him during our last match.
