Yeovil Town defender Jakub Sokolik has returned to Southend United on a month long loan spell, and manager Gary Johnson has also brought two players in.

The former Liverpool youth player spent part of last season with Phil Brown’s side, making ten appearances for them and Brown was very keen to secure his signature this summer before he opted to join us.

Since joining us this summer, the 21 year old has made 11 appearances.

In incoming news, we see the return of goalkeeper Jed Steer who moves to us from Aston Villa on a loan until January 31.

Having already made 14 appearances for the club following a loan spell back in 2011, he comes to us on a good run of form as he was on loan until yesterday with Doncaster Rovers, making 17 appearances for them after joining them in August.

We have also brought in Fulham defender Stephen Arthurworrey until January 31.

The 20 year old joined Tranmere Rovers on loan in January last season, staying until the end of the campaign and he made 17 appearances for them in that time.

He made his Fulham debut in the League Cup in their 5-2 defeat to Derby County this season.
