Yeovil Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the midweek that has been selected after the recent action.

The performance by Yeovil in the one nil victory over Accrington Stanley in midweek at Huish Park was enough to earn manager Darren Way a place as gaffer of the side of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Way was selected as manager of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Yeovil’s fight against relegation from Sky Bet League 2 continued with a fantastic 1-0 home win against promotion-chasing Accrington Stanley. The Glovers secured victory thanks to Ryan Dickson’s early strike, which stretched their unbeaten run to four games and moved them six points clear from the relegation trap door.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Way for his recognition, but the most important thing about the game was of course the win.
