Gary Johnson is quite happy and very optimistic despite our 1-0 loss in the first leg of the Play Off semi final against Sheffield United.

Speaking to Sky Sports following the game and giving his initial reaction to the match, Johnson explained that he was disappointed with how Sheffield United stole a march on us, but he believes we played our better football following the goal and really were unlucky to not draw level, especially following the penalty appeals.

‘When it’s two legs you’re not out of it, that’s for sure. We go into the second game one goal down which is a fantastic position to be in. Being one goal down at Huish Park with our fans behind us making that noise, I’m sure we can get that back.’

As Johnson said ahead of the draw for the semi final and our securing a place in it, having the second leg on home soil, knowing exactly what you need to do and accomplish on the night is a huge positive.

We are now in that position, we didn’t play well, we had some ridiculous refereeing decisions on the night, but we are only one down.

That is very easily turned around with another 90 minutes to go, we just have to perform as we know we can.
