Gary Johnson was delighted to see us notch up six straight league victories against Coventry today, and he believes we are in a position to capitalise on teams who drop points.

Speaking to the press following the 1-0 win today, the manager said that the players were putting in the normal amount of work in games, but does qualify that as being the ‘normal’ amount of work for a team that wants to win the league and gain promotion.

‘That desire and commitment, they are the two words because we show good skills at times, they really have put everything into it. I did say we had to be ready if there were going to be any blips from the teams that are higher up. Hopefully we can hang on long enough to get closer to the top two, but we have to get in those play off places first.’

It’s certainly shaping up to be an exciting second half of the season with our form and performances of late.

Johnson also talked about the players fighting for each other and also had words of praise for the fans, describing them as ‘magnificent’.
