Manager Gary Johnson has said that Yeovil need to bounce back quickly and with a new mental attitude if we are to avoid relegation this season following another disappointing loss in the league, this time to Bournemouth on Boxing Day.

Speaking to the press following the three nil loss Johnson admitted that we just had a really bad day, but that we were outclassed all over the field.

‘Certainly we were second best and there haven’t been that many times like that. It’s been pretty tight, but Boxing Day was one of those days. We have got to recover quickly because that’s the sort of game that can give you the feeling that will send you down. We have got to rally the troops and turn it around.’

Johnson hints that he will be looking to shake things up in January because he doesn’t believe enough of the squad are up to the standard required and it is costing us in games. Some players clearly can make the step up, but they need more support and we need to click in front of goal to give us the best chance possible.

One thing that Johnson was very clear about was he thought that it was out worse performance this season, so there is hope that it will just have been that bad day and performances will return to what they have been all season as that gives us the chance to pick up the points we want.

Huddersfield next and hopefully a point at least.
