Doncaster v Glovers – Preview

Image for Doncaster v Glovers – Preview

The Glovers took a step forward in the SkyBet League 1 last Saturday, however it was another back on Tuesday as victory over Crawley was followed up by defeat at Crewe. It’s Doncaster on Saturday at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster have been waiting for international clearance to come through from the Greek FA for Abdul Razak but they’ve finally got this so the former Manchester City youngster should be involved with a debut possible.

Uche Ikpeazu should return after a hamstring saw him miss Doncaster’s 5-0 SkyBet League 1 win at Crawley on Tuesday but thigh injuries to Luke McCullough and an ankle setback for James Coppinger keep them out.

The Glover are looking for a new captain as Joe Edwards injured his ankle in the defeat at Crewe Alexandra so will miss out. James Berrett came on for him on Tuesday in the 1-0 defeat and should fill in on Saturday.

We’ve taken former Arsenal and Colchester midfielder Craig Eastmond on trial but that doesn’t make him available for this one.

Doncaster will be in confident mood after a rampant display on Tuesday whereas ours took a knock with our away defeat. Defeats need to be avoided now but points aren’t really enough at the moment but would be taken away from home if we can get a run going at Huish Park.

I’m not overly optimistic about our chances on Saturday.

We have had some cracking games over the years and both enjoyed similar highs and lows since 2003
