League 1 Promotion & Relegation Odds

With only a few games remaining there are bound to me some twists and turns before the promotion and relegation places are finally settled.

If you had taken my advice you would have put your money on Crewe to go down when they were 7/2.

But the truth of it is although we are currently 7 points above the relegation zone, if Northampton win their games in hand, it really opens up the battle to keep away from that last spot.

I believe that Cheltenham, Hereford and even Brighton will be plying their trade in League Two next season. Therefore it is going to be one of one of seven to join them, though Orient are probably safe.

Plenty of work to be done, starting with some points at Cheltenham on Monday.

Relegation Odds

Team Odds
Leyton Orient 40/1
Yeovil 20/1
Swindon 6/1
Hartlepool 5/1
Carlisle 5/2
Crewe 9/4
Northampton 13/8
Brighton 1/5
Hereford 1/100
Cheltenham 1/100

At the other end of the table it looks as though Leicester and Peterborough have taken the two automatic promotion places, with Leicester now favourites to take the title as they have a four point lead.

Therefore teams will be battling it out for a place at Wembley in the play-off final. There are currently five teams battling for four play-off spots, my money is on Scunthorpe to sneak in at the expense of Tranmere due to their games in hand. As to who wins the play-off it’s a lottery, but something tells me that it will be Millwall.

Promotion Odds

Team Odds
Leicester 1/66
Peterborough 1/5
Millwall 2/1
MK Dons 15/8
Leeds 15/8
Tranmere 6/1
Scunthorpe 11/2
