Ishmael Miller might have returned to Nottingham Forest at the end of his loan with The Glovers, and might have found himself back among their subs, but Gary Johnson has revealed that as soon as they’re in a position to let him go out on loan again they will.

This loan will see him come back to Huish Park, as this is the move he wants.

Forest would prefer to sell the striker but interest in buying him isn’t being shown by any rivals to The Glovers bid to bring him back, they also want him on loan but his previous loan spell with us has left him decided that he wants to come back.

Johnson was speaking in The Western Gazette on Sunday, and has used is ‘Yeovilified’ thoughts again; with this being what have would’ve made up his mind to come back.

‘It’s just entirely up to Nottingham Forest and when they’re ready I think they’ll allow him to come to us.

‘Ishmael wants to come to us and I’m pleased because he’s enjoyed his time and we’ve already Yeovilified him so we don’t have to go through that again with someone else.

‘He’s us and he became a leader while he was here. Of course I’m going to hang on in there and try to get him back when Nottingham Forest are ready.’

James Hayter has scored some goals recently, taking his chance since Miller returned to Forest, and Kieffer Moore is starting to show he’s not out of place in the SkyBet Championship, but Miller’s experience and presence could make the difference between us staying up or going down, even if we’ve got to wait a couple of weeks for this.

In the meantime it’ll be down to those currently playing to lay down a marker to Johnson.

Be a good boost if we can get him back. Different type of striker to what we have.

  • The Glover says:

One that could bring the best out of the rest you’d think.

Well he wasn’t too shabby when he was here before, and he is more of a physical presence, especially experienced than we have, so he will take pressure off others and take the attention….and he knows where the net is himself. Just wish it would come off sooner rather than later.

  • The Glover says:

Does seem like it’ll happen, but like you I’d like it sooner and not later but with it FA Cup this weekend and not SkyBet Championship if we have to wait until after it’s not the be all and end all.
