Yeovil are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Liam Walsh in the scoreless draw with Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday evening at Huish Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Walsh was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Walsh produced a Man of the Match performance when Yeovil earned a fantastic draw with high-flying Plymouth Argyle. The 18-year-old belied his years with an all-action display in the centre of the park, helping the Glovers to a point which took them out of the Sky Bet League 2 relegation zone.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Walsh for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the point and performance.

Full Team:

Jamie Stephens (Barnet), Andrew Robertson (Hull City), Paul Robinson (Wimbledon), Ashley Eastham (Rochdale), Cameron Dummigan (Oldham Athletic), John Swift (Brentford), Liam Walsh (Yeovil Town), Rommy Boco (Accrington Stanley), Gaston Ramirez (Middlesbrough), Jordan Bowery (Oxford United), Tomer Hemed (Brighton).

Manager – John Sheridan (Oldham Athletic).
