If we’re going to close the seven point gap between us and SkyBet Championship safety now’s the time to do it.

The Glovers have home advantage again on Tuesday night, the first of four homes games coming up in the next couple of weeks, and boy we need to take it against Watford in the rearranged meeting.

A free weekend allowed us to get some players fully fit and any niggles that other had overcome so Gary Johnson goes into this game without any fresh injuries to worry about.

Liam Davis (toe) and Sam Hoskins (groin) should also be back in the squad.

If international clearance is officially gained for new midfielder recruit Ruben Palazuelos then he too could be included in the squad but the experienced Spanish midfielder will be lacking fitness as training with us for a couple of weeks wouldn’t be enough for such an important game.

Watford are in form, they’ve won three of their last four but Samba Diakite is out through suspension after a weekend sending off, a win that also saw Lloyd Doyley forced off due to injury.

Lewis McGugan (thigh), Almen Abdi (foot) and Fitz Hall (Achilles) are all injured but they should have Manuel Almunia and Joel Ekstrand available though and they could come back into the side.

Johnson’s called for full backing from the crowd, this will come with it down to the players to give us something to cheer.

We’ve not won at Huish Park since the start of January and if we really are going to avoid an instant return to the SkyBet League 1 we’ve got to get one on Tuesday and complete the double over Watford, who we beat 3-0 away.

Anything short of three points isn’t going to be enough.
