Yeovil Town have announced this morning that Duane Holmes has joined us for a month on loan from Huddersfield Town.

The 19 year old joins us until March 23rd, and has progressed through their youth ranks, becoming a mainstay in their U18 squad in 2012-13 where he made 25 starts in midfield, and found the net on 16 occasions.

Last season his performances and education work as a youngster earned him a nomination for the 2013 Championship Apprentice of the Year award.

Speaking to the Official Site manager Gary Johnson said of the capture.

‘I’m very pleased to add a quality player like Duane to our squad. He will bring something different to our game and I know our fans will enjoy watching him in a Yeovil Town shirt.’

During his time with Huddersfield so far since breaking into the first team thoughts he has made one starting appearance and a further 13 from the bench.

All those appearances have come so far this season, and he was last involved for them in their loss to Charlton back at the end of January.

Well experienced to SkyBet Championship level despite his age. Played his part in the win over Doncaster and I look forward to seeing what he can continue to do.
