Russell Slade has committed his managerial future to Yeovil by signing a new contract that will tie him to Huish Park until 2011.

As chairman John Fry told the Yeovil website he is more than pleased with the way things are currently going under Slate and he looks forward for further good things in the future: “This gives us the continuity we are looking for on our footballing side, and I am very pleased that Russell has committed in this way.”

Although things are not going so well for Yeovil this season Slade led them to the play off final last season, with them beaten 2-0 by Blackpool. Fry obviously has plenty of faith in Slade to want to extend the arrangement as he has.
