Yeovil’s miserable League 1 season continued on Good Friday when a win, with a little over half and hour to play, looked almost certain before a fightback from Chesterfield condemned us to another defeat.

With us two-up with 33-minutes to play at Huish Park something rare to celebrate looked on but a fightback from the play-off chasers saw them turn the game around in 10-minutes to go from two-nil down to three-two winners!

Having scored one, and missed a penalty, last time round Hayter (18) opened the scoring in the first half when he kept his cool to do what he’s done throughout his career when he finished off when one-on-one with the ‘keeper.

When Foley (57) was able to prod home the second it was looking good for us to grab a rare three-points but two-minutes later though Hird (59) headed home to reduce the deficit.

O’Shea (66) came off the bench to fire home from 25-yards to make it two-two and then three-minutes later O’Shea (69) scored acrobatically to score his second, and Chesterfield’s third within 10-minutes, to secure them the points and keep them in sixth place in League 1.

We remain rooted to the foot of the table….
